Why Mimir exists
Give people back time for judgment.
Teams responsible for readiness and operations often have the answer somewhere—in a manual, technical order, doctrine library, local SOP, troubleshooting record, or the experience of the person rotating out. The hard part is finding the right evidence, at the right revision, while the mission is already moving.
Mimir combines governed knowledge packs, local retrieval, a local model runtime, and inspectable citations to shorten that search. The objective is not fewer people. It is better-equipped people with more mental bandwidth for interpretation, coordination, leadership, and the work only they can do.
We are building Mimir as a disconnected-capable reference platform for RHEL 9 and Podman. Final hardware, model, security controls, environmental requirements, content, and authorization evidence are tailored and validated for each deployment boundary.
